The TLDR is in my first post...What's the TLDR on the video?
Things leaking is one thing, if what Fluff says is true they lied to people about the firing of Randall but he knew better and called them out on it. That's not a leak and them being unprepared. That's them lying and then lashing out when they're called out on it.Its unfortunate but I get it. I don't think the community will change but… we shall see. No doubt the info got out before they all were ready. I think most manufacturers have some social media agreements. Someone leaked it.
you're on a roll todayWhen Gibson sent heavily armed, masked operatives to kidnap Randall Smith and force him to sign over Mesa to Gibson he knew this time would come.
I'm just thankful they let him live.
As you all know, Leo Fender sold his company at knife point and now where is he?
For the same reason Fender destroyed SWR and Genz Benz, for a write off and boost profits for their shareholders. All corporations do it. It gets rid of their competition who make better products than they do. If they keep the Mesa brand, they'll probably move manufacturing overseas. Why would Gibson buy a brand like Mesa just to destroy it? Makes zero sense.
More likely it was clash of personalities, after all Randall has been used to being sole boss for a long long time.
I am enjoying his YouTube videos, he is a great raconteur.
Please tell us more!Lots of "private companies" are essentially more government, for example Raytheon and Lockheed Martin/Skunkworks who hold occult technology like zero point energy![]()

They have now.haven't their decision makers heard of the streisand effect?
As far as I can tell, it's what I said above:What's the TLDR on the video?
So, the second surprising element is that Smith may have violated his NDA. If so, he only hurts himself, and likely the goodwill and legacy of his company.
From where did you get that? No where has it been said that he violated anything- It was the guy with the beard who MAY have violated his agreement with Gibson...
Exactly. This has nothing to do with the first amendment's "free speech" which is relative only to the making of laws by the federal government.YouTuba is a company, not a governmental entity; Gibson is a company, not a governmental entity. There is no guarantee of free speech on the company's dime.
eliminate competition while acquiring their IP.Why would Gibson buy a brand like Mesa just to destroy it? Makes zero sense.
Mmmmm?this thread tho
