So I got rid of my Ampeg 8x10 and SVT2-PRO and pickup a Mesa 8x10 and Titan V12, WOW what a difference! This rig sounds totally different really mid heavy it seems. I am having trouble getting it to sound the way I want. Any thoughts?
I am using one of the factory settings they provided but I have been trying to tweek to my liking but I guess I am just having trouble doing it.
First of all, the gain maybe the problem. I turn it up and down alot depending on if the wife is home. Plus playing louder makes everything in the house rattle. I have noticed it sounds better with the gain up. I think I am using the R&B setting? Sounds like you are running the same setup because I am using a EBMM Stingray as well. It seems to sound full of mid and flat sounding. I guess thats my best description. Also sounds worse when I tune down to D standard. I think I need heavier strings for one.
