Mesa Subway cab paralysis - Which speaker size?

Nice recordings, I don't think there's any way I'd be able to hear a difference in a mix

The difference is subtle but it's there, and this is at moderate sound in my home office. At gig levels, the differences are likely more pronounced. The 115 has a bit rounder tone than the 210, but the 210 cuts more with it's voicing.

I bought the 115 first, then after a year or so found a deal on a 210 from Guitar Center used, which is nice since I could return it within 45 days to my local store. Spoiler, I did not return, the combination if the 115 + 210 is best of both worlds, with the 115 on bottom, 210 on top, which makes it great for stage volume having the 210 closer to your ears.

If I had to take 1 to a gig, it would be the 115, but if the gig is big enough, both cabs together are greater than the sum of their parts.

Nice! I currently have the TT and 115 and have been mulling over adding the 112 or 210 just for fun more than anything

I'm looking at the Mesa Subway cabs (1x15/1x12/2x10) trying to decide which one to get. Looking to get punchy bass tones within dense mixes - meaning the bass needs to sit nicely in the mix, it can't dominate it. I'll be using it with various amp heads (mostly tube). This will be for recording only, and I'm trying to keep the rig fairly compact.

I was leaning towards the 1x15 but then started thinking that the 2x10 might be punchier.

Any suggestions?

The 112 is just amazing for its size. If a compact rig is part of goal then it's ideal. The 210 and 115 are equally amazing, but I have more fun with those in larger spaces. For live, everyone always loves the sound combining the 112 and 115 with a TT800 or D800+
