Mesa Subway D-350!

Where the Genzler ultimately wins for me is the single sweepable mid, rather than 2 fixed frequency mids, and 2.67 Ohm operation, which I may never actually need. Honestly it’s mostly the difference in mid eq. In most respects I’d say they’re slightly different approaches to the same philosophy, and I imagine I’d be more than satisfied with either.

I'm sure the devil is in the details and part of the reason your amps sound so good. I'm not sure that a fixed hpf at 30hz is a special feature and something that people should be drooling about. It's one part of a complex system that can sound good or bad depending on the rest of the design, no? And it's something that's found in most modern amps afaik. I think an adjustable hpf can be a handy feature but is not a deal breaker for me personally.

Fun and funky club in Tacoma. The rig sounds great in this room.

That looks like a super fun micro stack! Please give us your impressions!!

These little C2 cabs are pretty amazing. There lows are incredibly tight but don’t sound small, if that makes sense. The band I’m in is playing gigs at rehearsal, volume, or just a smidge louder. I haven’t brought these to a rehearsal yet, but this rig is capable of amazing volume while still sounding very clear. As great as they are they will never compete with a stack of 12s or 15s but that isn’t their target.

My last amp was a Fender Stage 800 and while that was a tad louder, the quality of sound was not nearly as good as these - IMO.

The amp… amazing little powerhouse and more than enough power for me, which it has in spades. In the past I’ve owned a D-800, two actually, and a WD-800. I’m probably way off on the following, but I feel the 350 is voiced differently. Almost a little thicker..? I’m essentially running the amp flat with a slight bump to the bass and low mids @ 1:00. The sound is thick yet articulate. I am playing a SR5 and have the preamp on that flat too.

I know I am still in the honeymoon phase with these and the real test will come with upcoming rehearsals and gigs - but that said, color me impressed!
