Mesa Subway D-350!

While not the 350, I’ve been running dobro (Fishman Nashville pickup), acoustic guitar (Fishman aura), acoustasonic, and banjo (k&k) into the wd800 or d800 and Hathor. Sounds great - as good or better than the DeCapo or Evolve 30m as the bit of coloration from the head warms things nicely.

New cab day! It pairs super nicely with the D350:woot:

I recently purchased a D-350 and was surprised at it's diminutive size. Lots of output from the little box.
It really blows me away how much sound it produces. We did a gig last weekend at a club owned by the son of the original bass player in this band (he died a year or so ago) on the previous bass player's birthday. When they played back then, they were a loud band. We typically don't play that loud, but we did this time. And my guitar player raved about the sound I got out of my rig, a D350 into a Phil Jones cab with eight 5" speakers.

And the D350 didn't even get warm the entire night.

This is the exact same experience I've had on numerous high volume gigs and with a 4 Ohm load no less. The D-350 makes me wonder how often I'm really tapping into the full potential of my 500 and 800 Watt heads.

*Sorry about the original bass player's passing. Maybe he (and Chef) were looking down from heaven and digging your sound too!
I'm very impressed with the D-350. IMHO, it's a super versatile amp. I can't think of a musical genre where it would be out of place, sonically. Good to hear it has enough heft to cut a loud gig. I assume your PJB cabinet is 4ohms?

I used my d-350 and Barefaced Super twin last night for a drum-less gig. There was a PA but I was not in it. I had the master at about 1 (7:00 on the dial) with the volume on my P cut a little too. Definitely could have brought the One10 cab instead. However it sounded great, and I know I could have kept up with a drummer and two electric guitars just by turning that master to taste. Great head.

PJB does (or did) make a 4 ohm version of that cab, but I think they only make the 8 ohm version now. Either way, mine is an 8 ohm cab.

I have this dream of getting a Subway 215 when I have enough available funds, and I've been wondering how well those two cabs would play nice with each other. (I'd use the D800 for that stack, since the D350 doesn't do <4 ohm loads.)

Oh, and the club owner was close to tears many times that night. We pulled off a great tribute.

The D-350 into the Subway 215 would simply dominate, you may not even be able to hear the PJB.

We did quite a bit of testing with the D-350 into the 215, it was quite a bit louder, deeper and tighter than a Walkabout 115 with a Scout 115 extension cabinet.
