What a clever idea ! 👍

If ever my main amp fails, I might get this pre/DI and feed a Yamaha pro amp. Versatility and peace of mind !

I had been gigging with a rack preamp/power amp setup for many years but wasn't very excited about the rack preamp options when I needed a change as that particular market seems pretty slow these days. So, the Mesa replaced the rack pre instead and had the side benefit of allowing me to drop down to a smaller rack with just the power amp in it since the Mesa is on my pedalboard.

I’ve owned the WD800 and the TT800 and really liked them both, but the 800D is just so great that I sold my WD800 and have my TT800 listed in the classifieds.
Just purchased a second 800D as a backup.

Started with the D-800..because that was the only one that came out.
Next D-800+ came out...Doh!....so I had to have one for the extra features
Tried the WD-800 and TT-800 and chose the D-800+, Just great sounds amplifying my bass guitars.
Matches so great with my Epifani UL410 and 310 cabs

Actually could have just stayed with the D-800...Sounds great and I am never selling!

I've had my D-800+ for about 6 months, and it is awesome. It really allows you to bring out the best tone from each instrument, as you can tweak the controls to suit each different bass (at least that's what I do). And it has power and headroom for days.

I pair it with a RevSound RS212, and I honestly can't think of anything I need in a rig that this pair doesn't cover.

Don’t try a Mesa 800D. That’s all I’m gonna say. 🤭🤐

LOL, I have no doubt the 800D is an incredible amp. (the entire Subway line is great imho) But, I'll stick with the 800+ thank you very much. ;)
I understand and agree that the entire Mesa Subway line is “the best of the best”.
but please trust me. You DO NOT want to play through an 800D because one of two things will happen. You’ll either want to replace the 800+ or you’ll want both. 😀

I can't speak to the differences between all the Subways, but the D-350 and D-800 are the most similar, mainly differing in wattage and all the nuance that contains, but the others have different characteristics that make them unique. I find the D-350 does pretty much everything I need, even volume, but I'm mostly playing folk rock, gospel, and jazz type things.
