Yeah I'm afraid of this. And if I change my head I need to upgrade my cabs and ...You DO NOT want to play through an 800D because one of two things will happen. You’ll either want to replace the 800+ or you’ll want both.![]()
You are correct. Is the 800D speakon output only, no 1/4"?
Yes . . . . . and on . . . . and on . . . . and on . . . .Yeah I'm afraid of this. And if I change my head I need to upgrade my cabs and ...![]()
If I can say one thing about the WD-800. OK, make it two things.Curious for all of the Mesa Subway Owners what the breakout is for model of choice.
I’d be interested in that as well.I'm sure @agedhorse knows the proportion of each model sold, so he will know wether the Talkbass croud is representative of the bassist community in general, or if it's biased![]()
Unfortunately I can’t share that data, but the poll is reasonably representative.I’d be interested in that as well.
Yes, this is because our products are sold world-wide and have to meet the strictest global safety regulations. 1/4” connectors won’t meet the national differences requirements inder IEC 62368-1 in some regions, therefore only SpeakOn jacks are provided. Is the 800D speakon output only, no 1/4"?
Yes good chance I would be fine with any of Subway headsI have all of them except the 800+, but it's the Bass 800D that's getting used most of the time these days (my vote).
The TT, WD, and D350 are all favorites but I would be perfectly happy with just my D800...or any of the SW heads for that matter.
Nice bass, perfect portable amp kit, set list 1, set list 2 and a cup holder for the drink = perfect happiness !View attachment 7452436
D-800+ / GK Neo210 has been my gig rig for about 2 years now. sounds great and the variable HPF has become a requirement for me (also have a Broughton pedal for other amps). We play mostly brew pubs and small venues so the ability to tame that low end and keep everything tight is crucial.

that was a good show too. band was tight, crowd was into it, beer was cold and tasty. so, yes. perfect happiness.Nice bass, perfect portable amp kit, set list 1, set list 2 and a cup holder for the drink = perfect happiness !![]()
Close enough for jazz..eh? LolUnfortunately I can’t share that data, but the poll is reasonably representative.
