Mesa Walkabout gain is crushing loud

Mesa=U.S.A. Watts (ie: big, meaty, real watts)
Alot of others, including almost all Asian built amps= Those 'other' watts.
Behringer= Little bitty pale green faded watts.

What about "U.K. watts"? I once had a Goodmans of England 18" hi-fi woofer I used for bass, the sticker on the back of it rated it at "100W RMS, 200W USA"

I just picked up a used Mesa Scout with a silverface Walkabout onboard. SO FREAKIN LOUD. Moves more air than a class D 800 watt amp I have. And it does this with authority. Plugged the amp into a Fearless F112 stack at 4 ohms and I can't think about ever having to push that much air. Love the amp, just have to set the master volume correctly.

Note that the WA amp has most of its gain and master volume in the first 50% of the control’s oration. Comparison based on knob position will be misleading.
