What driver did you use in the TL806 ?

First i used the original EVM-12L. The weight of the cab was about 20kg. Then i tried the Emminence basslights 2012. The result was a better sound and a weight of !13kg!!!

I use a single TL806 (w/ KappaLite) regularly, and have thought about building a mate.

Love the glass ring stains on the amp! Always dreaded doing on of those on mine! At least when they are pre done you dont have to worry about it anymore...

Fantastic job, nice touches all us gearheads can appreciate. It looks like something you might see at a manufacturer's booth at NAMM or Musikmesse as a featured item/ attention getter. You might consider sending the link to Mesa, I bet they'd be flattered.

Care to share how you gave it the distressed finish & graphics? Is the grill painted a reddish/rust color or is it actually rusted? Did you consider having the amp recessed just a bit more in the head case for protection? Or perhaps having a latching hard cover for the front? If it's not being gigged, it's a moot point.

Again, great concept, execution & photography, thanks for sharing it.

Yes, it's actually rusted. I sprayed it with a solution of water, salt and vinegar. When i thought it's enough, I varnished it with mat lacquer with a roll to keep the structure of the rust.
It was not possible to recess the amp, because there is a fuse-holder on the back, and if it's plain on the front, there would be an overlap on the back.
