I only know him from the movie Hired Gun, but he seems like a nice guy who doesn't take himself too seriously.

Did not know he was doing that.Is he still playing with The Guess Who, as well?
I saw Rudy in the early 1980's with quiet riot. He was inspiring to watch. I still use some of the tricks I saw him doing.
Nice picture.
It definitely doesn't always happen, but I've been surprised by the number of musicians I've met that have been generally good dudes. It's always a buzz when someone you've admired turns out to be good people offstage (. . . this doesn't always happen . . .). Rudy's good people, and his new Sig Spector is my- t-fine. And, the man can play.
I'd have had to ask him how they got him to lick his bass back in the White snake vids . . .
I wouldn't feel too bad for him. As I understand it, if he wasn't in the band, I don't believe they would be able to tour as Quiet Riot. I'd imagine that means his compensation is pretty fair.Yes, its Great that he is still at it. On the other hand, after all he has done, it bummed me that he was playing in Sand Mtn Alabama with what is basically a Quiet Riot cover band.
He was worried about missing the show after our plane broke down on the runway. we were a couple hours late but he did make it to the show. I saw video. Quiet Riot was the opener before Winger and Skid Row. Looked like a good turnout.
Seems like these old 80s bands find young replacement singers that are much more able than the aging singer they replace. I'm not into this music anymore at all but find I have a strange fascination with aging 80s rockers. I find it interesting to see how they adapt or don't.
Practically twins. I guess it's pretty obvious which of us play in an 80s rock band and which plays chill instrumental music.Nice picture.
First time I've seen a picture of Rudy wearing glasses.

Thankfully no one has asked about nut widthNeck Width?
Seems like a nice guy. I'm glad he's still out there doing it.
He's not even the original bass player for Quiet Riot, but Randy Rhoads was a founding member & later on he & Randy played together with Ozzy.
His book, Off The Rails, is a good read.
