Metal bands with a overdriven, pickstyle bassist

John Campbell from Lamb of God has a really gritty pick sound, especially on their latest release "Resolution." Rex Brown from Pantera is another good one, I'm actually surprised that he wasn't mentioned right away!
Dick Lövgren of Meshuggah has one of the most monstrous bass tones I've ever heard. A quick search for "Meshuggah drum and bass solo" on YouTube will give you a good idea, methinks. I freaked out when I saw it some years ago.
I've sung his distorted praises many times. Josh Newton has gotten amazing distorted/overdriven tones on the last two Every Time I Die albums. (New Junk Aesthetic and Ex Lives)

Yeah, Dick is an amazing player. His groove with Tomas Haake is peerless IMO.

Phil Dakin does some stellar pick work on the first Dead Brain Cells album from about 1987. Still listen to that album to this day.
I 2nd Periphery. Also After the Burial. Their new album is ridiculously awesome. Both pick style bassist that have overdriven/distorted bass tone.
Ok so I have been trying to reproduce Peter Steele ( type o negative) bass tone for quite some time now, more specifically his tone from symphony for the devil, I have the ds1, ch1, and dd3 but I know there is something im missing, please
