Metal bassists that use jazz basses?

Hey guys,

I wanna see how many metal players we can find that use jazz basses. :) Specifically Fender Jazz's, but other brands are welcome too. The only two that I know of are Martin Eric Ain (Celtic Frost) who uses a Warwick Streamer JJ, and whatever his name is from Opeth who uses a Fender Marcus Miller 5. And JPJ if you wanna call Led Zep metal.

Although I usually think P-Bass when I think Geezer, I have seen old footage of him from the mid 70s playing a Jazz bass.

theres also early 70's with some weird double cut thing

and 1978 with a Ric 4001

but the first 3 or 4 albums and all live shows around 1970

or there basic coming of popularity

was from what i know that Precision

ive seen lots of interviews and he talks about the precision but no mention of a jazz

When I saw Megadeth a few months ago, James LoMenzo was playing a Marcus Miller signature.

And not that it's of too much merit, but I play jazz basses exclusively with my metal group.

Yep, I saw him playing that exact bass also. I guess he usually uses Warwick but for whatever reason on that last tour busted out the Marcus Jazz- which played and looked great!

I too play a Jazz bass tuned to Drop C in my metal band and I think its setup great. I put some EMG's and a Badass III on it and it's perfect for metal.
