deluge, the title track on crown fire is INTENSE. i love the album, it's everything i wanted it to be. now for that new ocean one as previously mentioned, i swear there's a dark cloud of doom descending gradually over my house, becoming more and more omnious every day...

War Of Ages' new CD is fantastic. My old band got to play with them a couple of times, and they are some of the coolest guys I've ever met.
In the last two months I have seen Iced Earth, Death Angel, Devildriver, Judas Priest, Testament, Heaven and Hell, Motor Head and All That Remains.
I gotta say life is good.

You'll have to excuse me for a moment, I didn't read the entire thread. Has anyone been getting into Swashbuckle lately? The vocals remind me of Dethklok and the music reminds me of Exodus. It's kinda weird and cool at the same time because they all wear pirate outfits. The songs are about treasure, drinking, and living the pirate life. I actually kinda like it.
Now, not a new band but still a good one, Racer X. I have recently gotten into them from a fellow co-worker and the helping hand was Paul Gilbert. I know he is ridiculous on guitar so, I forced myself to give a listen. I am usually not into the glam style vocals the were the 80's, but Racer X seems different and Gilbert's playing is ridiculous. I find myself listening to Street Lethal all the time now. The band is really tight, everything sounds great.
Another now defunct band that I have been getting into lately is Botch. I guess it's debatable what genre they fall into but I think they are awesome. Great breaks and crazy timing make this band easy to listen to. I swear I hear something new everytime I listen to them. Call them metal, hardcore, or mathrock, it doesn't really matter. Fact is, they were a great band.

Oh yeah, I have Pride of the Wicked as well. I haven't had a chance to pick anything older than that up though.
The more and more I listen to Khanate, the more I realize how brilliant they are. Some of the heaviest music ever, and it's not even that distorted. Just... heavy.
Colors Live by Between the Buried and Me. Especially the DVD that comes along with it. Holy smokes! Absolutely amazing stuff.
