Metallica Updates soon! New information will be released May 12th

I don't see what all the fuss is about. Seriously, first four albums come out in a 5 year span (83-88). Since then there have only been 4 studio albums with a 5th one finally coming out late this year. Somehow, the 'Sick of the Studio' tour doesn't seem fitting for them.

There isn't a song writter in the band anymore. With KEA Dave and James co-wrote the song, Dave being a great song writer.

Cliff had a huge hand in helping james wirte the other material, lars is more of a composer and can put the song in a specific order.

Justice is the last huge metallica album, the black album was cool, there were more hooks and less technicality appeasing the masses

I'm actually really excited about this record. I am not a Metallica fan though I do respect their music and their contributions to music.

I will say this, I did have a chance to meet Lars and James not that long ago. Both of them were very nice and very funny guys, James especially had a great sense of humor.

My only criticism is that I do think Lars lets his 'star status' get to his head a little bit. Still a nice go though.

omigod - The trailer video for the new Mission Metallica website got leaked a little early:

Sounds pretty damn amazing to me :D:D:D

Oh my lord. That was incredibly disappointing. Some of the riffs sounded OK, but overall, incredibly similar to St. Anger. In the sense that it sounds like it sucks immense balls, of course. :D
I guess I'll still give the album a chance, though, since Metallica was the first band I was really into, and they helped me get into music.

hey keep in mind, that james said most songs are 7-8 mins long, and that it takes like about 3 minutes for the vocals to kick in on the songs. this is just a minute, theres also an insturmental track, so this might just be a breakdown in a song or something, you never know.

ive yet to hear it.

this works for me, some vids dont work outside the U.S

Well, I don't think it sounds at all like St. Anger. Production quality is top notch (would you expect anything less from Rick Rubin?). James is singing spot-on. Riffs sound awesome.

But that's just me. I think it sounds awesome. :bassist:

I am crawling the walls to listen to this clip ! How much do I love Metallica ? I have the first 2 periods of the school day off and when I saw Gregs link I got in my car and drove around town looking for somones wireless connection to hear this but I couldetn connect any where ! The filter would not allow me onto youtube or Metallica's site at the High School so know I have to wait till this afternoon on my last free period to go to the public library to hear this but sure enough I will. Library opens at 9am and thats the time I am due in class ! :help::help::help::help:
