Meteora Style Bass or Similar?

Well here is what I went with and am waiting for it to arrive. Already have the donor parts.
That’s my body in the pic. I emailed them and they were super responsive. They will do any pickup route you like. I can forward you more pics once it arrives. Should be a week or 2. As far as sizing goes.

I contacted them and they said it's the same size body as their regular "Meteora" guitar body. Tempting, but worried that it will end up being tiny on me like the Fender guitar version is. :/

Yes it is the same size as a guitar body. I really like that shape so I took a chance to see. I can use ultra lights for tuners if it becomes neck heavy and it may look out of scale, but won’t know until I try. So I’ll be the threads beta testor . As some have found out getting a bass sized body is near to impossible as Rosser is not making it. The plus for me was I didn’t have to finish it and I already have the parts bass for all the electronics and neck.
So once I am done which may take a little while I will let you all know how it works out.

On that budget, I’d look for a used Fender jaguar bass.

I’m a huge warmoth fan, but unless you do the finish yourself, it would be hard to build a bass out of their parts under a grand

I too like the Meteora shape. A while back I traced it and scaled it to roughly PBass size, then overlaid it on a Fender, aligning it to the ends of the heel.

As you can see the first issues that jump out are the short horn and restricted access to the upper frets.

Does look cool though.

Ok here is the update. Still needing an input jack to assemble the whole thing but here is a pic of how it compares against a p bass size wise. Super happy with the finish and can’t wait to get it built. For those wondering it is a 96 AVRI 57 p bass.

I have a custom Rosser Meteora body that i haven't had the time to finish building... but i think it'll be pretty cool when it's done.
