Micro POG samples inside (yes, it's true)

When you turn the down and up octave volume all the way off, and just let your clean sound through, does the unit affect your original sound much (at all)?

I haven't tried out the Micro POG yet (unfortunately), but after using their other new digital pedals... I'm 99% certain that dialing the up and down octaves to zero will take them out of the sound completely, leaving you with just a pure dry signal.

I've got one of these in house, and I got a little crazy with it last night.

Bass-> POG (100% Down) -> WET OUT

POG WET OUT -> Octron 2 (100% Octave Up, 100% Dry) LOOP OUT-> Boss DD6 (set for light delay) -> Black Pearl (Swollen Pickle Clone set for wild FUZZ -> RETURN Barge Concepts Blender

POG Dry OUT -> In on Barge Concepts Blender

Blended and tweaked to mind blowing taste :) I'll record something if I can stop fooling around sounding like a solo death metal act.

ok, just confirmed my order through ebay thanks to this thread!

really looking forward to this one rocking up in the mail! got it for $240 AU (shipped) if any aussie buyers are interested. most of the US ebay retailers are shipping internationally free. got a q-tron while i was at it as well.. damn ebay.

will let ya'll know how it goes when it gets here:)

ok yesterday my micro pog and q-tron showed up (less than a week from US to oz.. i love that!).

first impressions on the POG... I LOVE THIS THING! seriously, it has so many usable tones.. this is gonna be a great tool in the box. not to mention the fact that dialing the octave up all the way up and plugging it into my rat makes me sound just like a guitar.. and honestly i was laughing so hard when i tried this i almost cried.

i'll try it on the gigs this weekend and report back.. but yeah so far so good :)

andy.

my current set up is:

sadowsky MS5 / warwick streamer stage 1 5 string thru samson wireless:

looper in
looper 1- micro pog and bass synth wah
looper 2- fulltone bassdrive mosfet
looper 3-boss chorus
looper out are mxr-80 and compulator (always on)

last night i used it on my gig. i noticed that whenever i turn on the m-pog with the bassdrive, i have a drop of low end. while on those clips, it sounds huge.

mine goes like this:

m-pog input to send looper 1
effect out m-pog to input bsw
bsw out to looper 1 return

i actually didn't use the dry out of the m-pog. can anybody suggest me a set up to get that big sound that's produced on those clips? i mean with the overdrive/distortion clips.

thanks a lot guys!

I think we could help more if you could record a sample of the sound you're getting and aren't happy with, but the first thing I notice is that you have the sub-ctave on the m.pog dialed out. I think you'd want it on if you're missing low end.

I think it could just be an issue of hearing perception, given that the Dry and Octave Up dialed as high as they are. After all, what range of frequencies can be made louder with less power?

His low end is probably fine, but he may not be used to that extra high end in a live situation... and given the competing noise around him, maybe it's just that the upper octave is far more noticeable.

tonight i lowered down a bit the octave up, i got a better low end but i noticed that i can hardly hear the octave up. so if i would put a bit of sub octave, how much do you suggest i should put in?
