Bump because I got my Micro POG the other day and did a few samples of my own. Same riff throughout for comparison. And I couldn't get my hands on my roommate's recording equipment, so I'm going through my headset mic and it's really quiet, so I suggest putting on some headphones and turning it up a good bit.
Dry/Clean sample:
This next sample is the pedal with the dry knob turned all the way off and the sub octave turned to full and the octave up turned off.
This sample again has dry turned off, the sub turned off, and the octave up on full.
Dry Off, Sub Full, Octave Up Full.
This is a more realistic setting, and is probably my preferred thus far. I set the dry blend to be an identical output as if the pedal were disengaged. I've set the Sub Octave to about the 1'oclock position and the Octave Up is off. This is going to give me a primarily dry sound with the sub octave giving me a more full sound without overpowering my dry signal. You may want to listen back and forth between the first sample and this to hear how nicely it fills in the sound.
Now I have the Dry at the same setting, I've increased the Sub to about the 2-3'oclock position and I've turned the Octave Up to the 12'oclock position. Again, you'll hear a lot of the dry, a little more of the Sub filling in, and the Octave Up will be somewhat subtle. This will help boost your harmonics and provide a very interesting sound.
This is just me attempting to create the organ sound that the POG is so famous for. I think it turns out pretty well on bass. I'm swelling in the volume on my bass, it'd work a lot better with a volume pedal.
