Double Bass Microphones into Acoustic Image Coda

I was wondering whether it was possible/advisable/worked well to use a piezo pickup into the the normal channel of the amp, and then a mic into the mic channel and use them simultaneously. I know some people achieve this effect by using a blender, but i was wondering whether it was possible to bypass that by using this particular amp.

There is no phase switch on the AI preamp. Unfortunately.
