On an impulse, while at Guitar Center this Friday, to pickup the $30 MXR distortion, I bought a Micropog. This thing is the most stable octave device I have tried. So far, in about three hours of playing, with active and passive, single coil and humbuckers, I cannot make this thing glitch. The octaves up and down are rock solid. Even the low B on my 5 string, while not reproduced with much definition on my rig, was still glitch free on octave down. The tone is also very sweet. Sounds very much like the 8 and 12 string models on my Line 6 bass. With distortion in front and modulation behind it, the Micropog become organlike. The only other octave pedals I have tried are the Boss OC-2 and OC-3, and this blows them out of the water. I feel like I have a whole new palette to my sound.

It's become an integral part of my pedalboard (I use a ton of "Lower Octave" when playing high-end parts, and find its "Electronic 10-String" to be the best I've ever heard... and I've been working in that since 1994) ever since I realized the standard POG was far too large for my 'board and frankly, too complex for my needs.

Yeah it tracks impressively well. I'm not a fan of the tone though. Too clean for me.

I have a Keeley Blues driver and Fuzzhead before the MPOG, and a Bass Big Muff and Stupid box after the MPOG, so I really appreciate that it is so clean. I can make it as dirty as I want. I also still keep the OC-3 available, as the poly mode tracks well, and does do a more intense lower octave. I just had to share that the MicroPog has been a awesome addition to my board. It doesn't replace the fuzz octaves or the pedals more geared to the bottom end, but it truly rocks.

the micropog is great unfortunately i got rid of it because i didn't have a use for it in any of my bands. i agree about the octave up does sound a little weird but it does work really well in addition to the lower octave to fill out the sound

That is why mine sits in a sea of EBS pedals.
