My current pedalboard consists of a OG Diamond Bass comp into Strobostomp tuner, then a B3K V2, followed by a phazer, chorus, and delay. I just bought a Darkglass Element to out at the end and will be going ampless live. The Element has blown me away with the available options, flexibility, and user interface.
I have been considering a Microtubes Infinity to replace the B3K so I can have a few preset levels of grit. My go to setting for almost everything is the B3K as pictured with grunt and mid boost engaged. There are times that I want the drive at 3 o'clock or somewhere in between 9 and 3.
My concern with the Microtubes Infinity is the lack of FX loop. Would my modulation and delay pedals work well with the Infinity? If you have used the Infinity with other FX what was your experience? Having the Element would allow me to put the FX after the Infinity and still get the cab sim and wet sound to the FOH which is my goal. Of I go with the Infinity I will also try to ditch the Diamond comp to streamline my board a little. The Strobostomp will not be going anywhere. It's just too accurate and easy for me to read from a distance.
