I was a bit stupid making the clamp. It works, but I could have used the clip directly to the holder and get some centimeters more. It works (I tried it) either with the side or the tip of the clamp. Maybe you can reach your spot then.
I need to find a reachable sweet spot for my bass, but for the moment any position sounds better than a pickup.
The AMT SP25B with the really long gooseneck might be better for your spot, but you might need to adjust the mic rather often (no problem if you marked the spot in some way).
