Mike Lull 2013 "Pipeline" Orders

I think that anodized pickguard must've come pre-drilled for both the tug bar and for an old school pickup cover (one that goes up and over the strings). Lull included a chrome pickup cover in the case with the bass, and the screws were already in the pickguard. Unfortunately, the pickup cover they sent was too long, so I didn't even bother to mention it. But I'm sure a pickup cover that is the proper size could be had pretty easily.

Here's a Fiesta Red Lull P4 that I ordered based on Pino Palladino's '62 P. This one just arrived yesterday, and it's already on it's way to Jacob in Anaheim. Thanks, Jacob!

Oh, baby. Here's another glorious color from Mike Lull. Total homerun on this one, and the anodized pickguard pushes it over the top for me. Plus it sports my favorite pickup combination at the moment: a Nordstrand NP4 matched with a Nordstrand Dual Coil. Yessir!!

That's a great looking blue. Interesting that they have extra screws in the pickguard for a pickup cover and tug bar.

Yeah, I'm guessing these metal/anodized pickguards might be a bit harder to drill and not leave a messy look, so they must come fully pre-drilled. But that's just a guess.

It is indeed. I'm playing all passive basses these days. King Koa is the only active one I still own, but it's a 5 so I hardly play it. But it sure is purty to look at! LOL
Lull's Fiesta red has such a mellow retro look to it. Cant wait to hear a recording of that pick up combo.

I'm a bit amazed this one has stayed here this long. It's a 34" scale, 5-string passive J-bass with an incredible look. It sounds mighty fine as well! Think Sadowsky minus the active electronics.

I thought the same thing until I ordered one from G&L that looked just like this. It looked so good, I repeated the look the next time I placed a Lull order. LOL
