"Mini 4x10's"

been rockin this mini 4x10 (SWR 4x8) for quite some years.... and still love it !

Actually I am always again amazed hat this little leightweight vintage fellow was discontinued 13 years ago and still does so much right.

This guy outperforms any 1x12 because it can hang as true standalone cab.

I also much prefer its sound over almost any 4x10. Better dispersion, less boom, less mid scoop !

I think a vertical 4x8 is a cool idea for the reasons you mentioned; but if it was really tall and skinny I'd be concerned about knocking it over. Accugroove recently introduced the 'minigroove' and 'mini sub' based on 8" drivers and I'm a little leery of it for that reason.

You cab stack them vertical, horizontal or as I do...side by side. ;)
