It didn't seem 'incredibly loud' to me, and when I was there, Lane Baldwin was pushing it pretty much wide open. But then again, I am familiar with the Walter Woods Ultra, so I may have different expectations than the average bear. :D

Yeah, but does it fit in your back pocket? Ok, ok, I know the 260 is bigger than originally planned as well, but that 200 is even bigger, and is a BEAST, weighing more than twice as much! :D

(...oh man, I'm gonna' get it for this..) :D

P.S. For me, the "jury's still out" on the 260. I do like it a lot, but I'm not totally sure it's the micro I want in the end. I'm workin' some angles behind the scenes here, tho, which is currently the main reason I'm hangin' onto it. Hopefully more on that later.

P.P.S. Actually, I'm interested to check out a 200 as well.

From what I saw and felt of the 260, it didn't seem much smaller or much lighter than the iAMP 200 (which is a good bit lighter and slightly smaller than the iAMP 500).

Actually, the 260 should be quite a bit smaller (I was mostly kidding of course, but...). The 200 apparently is only about 2" narrower than the 800, same height, and just a tad not as deep. When I set my 260 on my 800, it's very noticeably smaller. I'd put the 260 in a pocket on a cab cover, but not the 800 or something the size of the 200. ;)

I'll snap a perspective pic later tonight after the gig.

Granted, the Eden is a good bit smaller than the iAMP 200, but it's no 'back pocket' amp, and when you look at the size of the iAMP 300 and Markbass F1, it tends to make me think of the WTX260 as being more 'functionally akin' to other 'relatively compact' heads, like the iAMP 200 or WT-405 (and again, I know the 260 is a lot smaller, it just looks big compared to the iAMP 300 or F1).

Agreed. FYI, the Micro 300's form factor is really where the 260 should have been (but is very much not). I'd love to try the F1... anyone check one out at NAMM or have any other experience with a test unit?

I played an F1 at NAMM and it sounded darned good to me. But then again, it was at NAMM... :hmm:

Maybe... on the Eden board I didn't notice many qualifiers. I expected a lot more when I got a chance to use one based on what I read there. Considering it's a direct competitor for the LMII (size/price) I can't see someone who gigs in a moderately loud setting choosing it over the Markbass.

If there weren't a 6 lb. 500w (@4 ohms) $599 head out the Eden would look like a pretty good deal. The Eden being only about $60 cheaper doesn't help at all IMO.

Markbass has really skewed things.

Anything new about F1 Pricing ?
Ill guess the LM2 will be cheaper when the F1 comes out...

Damn , i dont know if i should wait for the F1 or just go with the Focus 2R.. DAMN GAS . . :D

I just took possession of a brand new LMII. Brad, your raves tipped the balance for me in favor of Markbass over AI (although, I did think the Clarus sounded great in Rudy's). I was envisioning a Focus SA + Presonus setup, but at the end of the day, most NYC places have a backline anyway, so I went with the simpler, no nonsense route.

I also had some GC credit to burn up, so that contributed to my decision ;)

I'll post some results when it gets some mileage -- can't wait to break it in!
