mini cabs

I'm rather keen on the ashdown mini cabs, specifically the 4x8 and the 1x15, but not as keen on the price of them. I'm wondering if there's any other manufactured making similar sized and spec'd cabs as these.

I'm looking to upgrade my lowly underpowerd warwick ccl combo to separates (possibly a Hartke head, or 2 behringer bx3000t's... yes 2, one for high's, one for lows... hell, they're cheap enuff). But I'm not so keen on lugging around a huge 1x15 cab and either 4x10 or 2x10. Esp as I'm, reliant on lifts at the mo whilst I'm not driving.

I would shop around for pricing on the ashdowns. Some retailers sell them pretty cheap.

You should also check out flite soud stuff if you want something light weight. They make a 15 cab that weighs 23 lbs and is made from a high tech composite fiber or something.

Agreed. The shipping might be quite expensive, though...

Anyway, the Mini 12 can handle anything from a 100 to ~ 600 Watts amp. I played one at last New Years Eve gig through an Acoustic Image Focus (600 Watts) in front of ~ 120 people, and even my loud drummer was able to hear every note. It also handles a low B with super ease.
The prices are $399.00 for the Mini 12 and $540.00 for the Mini 12+ with titanium horn. Both cabs are available with a 4 or 8 ohm impedance (500 Watts RMS), size is 16H x 16W x 16D and weighs ~ 28lbs
