Mini Rigs of Doom Four

Man I love this thread. I might even say I'm addicted to it...
So here's a question for you all. Say all your gear just got stolen or destroyed in a fire. The only thing left is your six string bass that you play death metal, TOOL, Metallica, and RCHP covers on.
You decide to go 100% mini. Your insurance check is coming in because you thought ahead to insure all your gear.
What do you buy? What is the ultimate mini rig? You can't rely on PA support everywhere you go, and your drummer and guitarist are crazy aggressive and loud...
Do you go colorful pre-amp with a separate power amp? Do you go Fearful or LDS boutique on the cab side?

What would you all buy if you were absolutely starting from scratch in building your mini-rig of doom? Is the technology there where you could take a step towards the "Micro-rigs of doom"????

I love my Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 so I would buy that and a couple 1x12 cabs. Don't care about brand on my cabs, they never last more than a few years anyway!

Finally got it all together: Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 and 2x GK 112 Neo2 cabs. Totally weight? Maybe 65 lbs. One cab in each hand and the Shuttle over my shoulder. Loud enough to compete with drums and a Marshall full stack, but light and compact enough to easily load into my Mazda 3.

Is that blue bass something you made? It looks like a t bird, big Al, p bass love child. I like it!

Yeah, and I think its shortscale too, correct?

The blue bass (as well as the sea foam green one) is one of my Astro models. It is built with early Dano/Jerry Jones construction methods and the body is influenced by my love of Thunderbirds.

The standard Astro comes with lipstick tube pickups, but being a P-bass guy, I assembled a split reverse P style pickup & installed it in a P-90 cover. I tried a couple of other pickups in this bass first, but this pickup gives me that old school P-bass thump... Thanks.

These basses come with either a 29 7/8" scale vintage Dano influenced neck or a more modern shaped 31" scale neck (which is the one on the blue bass).

I started with huge amps in the '70s, moderately large ones in the '80s, smaller yet in the '90s. Now my usual gig for jazz clubs/lite jobbing gigs is: GK MB200 driving an Eminence BassLite CA2010 in a WinISD designed/home built box. The amp is 2+ lbs, the speaker around 19 lbs. Works well with fretted, fretless, and upright. Shown next to an early '90s era Carvin LB76. With upright, gig bag and speaker I'm in and out in one trip!
