This rig is not quite mini but it's mighty. Note: the mids are severed off pretty well and my heavy gauge round wound stainless steel strings are 2 years old and counting.

I dig the 31 band - kind of elementary but super dummy proof. I sometimes use this graphic in Series or Parallel with the variable loop.

Looks like you are using a GB fEARful sub, so I'm not surprised that it would be lacking in mids without the mid driver. But if it gives you the sound you're wanting, that would make a light cabinet even easier to transport.

I can imagine the severed mids- scratch that I've EXPERIENCED those severed mids through just a 3012lf... I had my mid pad switch on my ff12/6 get buggered in transit in the band truck on the way to a gig resulting in no signal to the mid (OMG, WTH happened? Horrid tone!). The only quick field repair I could do without an iron was to bypass the LP board running straight through just the 3012lf. Less omg bad, but still pretty unusable alone. No amount of eq will replace what that driver doesn't do above 1k, nor fix the ugliness it does produce near its upper limit. IMHO / IME of course, but that woofer really works best - and in fact is completely awesome, with a good crossover and a mid- even if you like a lot of scoop, as evidenced by the smiley face on your 10 band. Without the mid, its more of a lopsided smirk

This thread has been giving me the worst case of G.A.S.!!! Thanks to forum member agedhorse, I got my favorite amp fixed. Here's my Kala U-Bass and Genz Benz Shenandoah Compak 300 acoustic amp. The amp is 19lbs. Fretless Jazz bass w/ black tapewound strings for scale.

An Aguilar DB112, Phil Jones D200, EBS Valve Drive and a Korg Tuner. The amp, pedal and tuner fit in my gig bag and a little heavy but manageable speaker cabinet in one hand.
