Mini Rigs of Doom-Let's see 'em!l

That doesn't make any sense. A "mini rig-of-doom" is, by definition, still a rig-of-doom and therefore can go in the "rig of doom" thread. It doesn't work the other way around.
Then again, you're not the first person to post a non-mini rig in here!

I just got the 210, so I've only tried it the way you see it in the picture. Because of the footprints of the two cabs, that's probably the way they fit with each other best (the 210 is wider, shorter, and less deep in dimensions than the 1x12). I'm not really going to sweat it though, it sound great as is, and until I'm in a larger room with it, I doubt I could tell the difference.
My Rig of Doom totals about 850W at 4 ohms. Couldn't that therefore be considered a Mini Rig of Doom compared to some of the huge rigs some of the folks here own?

nope.
Mini means its a one man - one trip carry. NO cart, no casters required.
no 4x10's allowed. No racks over 3 space. No more than 2 cabs total. No 15's properly loaded (undersized 15's can pass muster).

How about having "proof" pictures to the mini rig of doom - like a picture where the rig is actually carried (proof of mini) and a picture of the equipment on stage (proof that the mini rig is acually useful).
Only the 1st picture I posted above would pass the "mini" test (one CXL112 and one iAMP800).

I've always (25+years) used a combo and mic'd or DI'd to FOH rig when necessary, but having finally stepped away form various Precisions to a Warwick Corvette I wanna exploit the tone of my instrument. Settled on the LMKII head or an Ashdown Superfly (on offer at £250 at the mo, BARGAIN!). Just need to find a localish stockist of those Epifanis so I can give them a try.

Not so mini when I add 2 2x10 cabs and a Carvin 600W head.
This is just enough to rehearse with guitars, drums, vocals and voice. The B2-RE head and my Ampeg 2x10 is even smaller/lighter, but that cab is at my drummer's place currently..

"Mini rig of doom" is an oxymoron. None of the rigs that qualify for this thread are true rigs of doom.
Anyone who dissagrees is free to battle their mini rig against mine.
"mini rig of doom" is a celebration of how far the technology has come recently (especially in the last few years) in putting a lot of power in small lighter weight packages. imagine 20 years ago putting 800 watts into less than 20 pounds? walter woods being the first and at a significant price point, but now it's available at gc in a markbass. or a cab that you can one-hand that will keep up with a decently loud band.
i go so far as to say that the "rig of doom" thread is a reaction to the "mini rig of doom" thread. it's a statement of pride in where bassists come from: big cabs, big heavy amps, big heavy back pains
seriously though, there is a place for both. an svt and an 8x10 has its place... but what a wonderful thing that we can have place for a 16lbs, 500 watt head and a 40lbs cab that will do the job.

What technology has done for us is amazing, I used to run a rig that was an Eden Navigator and a QSC PLX3002. I think that was 3000 Watts at 30 something lbs!
You can get an amazing tone that cuts right through a moderately loud band with a lot of the rigs posted here; however, its not a rig of doom unless you can bring the building down with it.

Agreed about the tech point. My "mini-rig" would have to be downsized to one cab to fit the rule of "must be carried in one trip." A semi-aside: It's very interesting how different my aggie 210 is from the aggie gs112 when used alone. I much prefer the 112 if I can only choose one of them. The 210 just doesn't have the low end.
