[Minneapolis/MN Thread] Midwestern Comradarie

I can only suggest watching the various Music Go Round web sites and Craig's List "band broke up, selling PA" notices, which always make me laugh and smile. Music Go Round is pretty good at listing what the various stores have. It's good advertising for them and saves you a lot of road time.

BTW - My Ben Lindsey (Mustang inspired) 'Stang Bass is progressing nicely! It should show up here shortly. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

I can't wait to show it off this summer at the next GTG! :bassist:
No 'skinny-ass' neck on this one!

Dry fit... no finish etc... Now has Tung Oil finish... I'm in a 'photo blackout' until it shows.

I haven't tried one of their basses but a GP that was in my band last year had a Socialite.
It is a very nice guitar with build quality that far exceeds the price. He asked the lead gp and I what we thought he paid for it. We both figured around 2K+. Sounded great through his Twin Reverb.

I don't know about Woodbury, but Roseville and Burnsville now seem to be full-on Peavey dealers. They pretty much have a full line of new Peavey products. For the Peavey fans out there...

Hey Tim, is this one of yours? It looks very cool either way. I haven't been over there to try it. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds. I think I just assumed it used to belong to you since it's a Peavey.

Hello Minneapolis --
hdracer turned me on to this thread. I am going to be spending some time in Minneapolis in the next month or so, for work, and was wondering what might be worth doing/seeing while there. Not sure of the exact time I will be out there, but we just merged with another company, and I need to head out for a couple weeks sometime soon.

I'm pretty laid back. Definitely prefer dingy dive bars to large sporting events.

Been to Chicago once, a very long time ago, and that is the extent of my midwest experience, so looking forward to checking out your city.

Thanks, in advance, for any thoughts.
