[Minneapolis/MN Thread] Midwestern Comradarie

Hello all! I haven't been to one of these in forever, but I'm really hoping to make it out this weekend. I think the last one I was at was maybe the first one? Kraigo, we blew up my Ampeg Portabass head that day (I think that was with you, anyway). Ha!

Anyway, in terms of what I'm bringing, I just have a GK MB112 for an amp, so I'll probably bring that. For basses I'll bring my G&L L-1000 and a funky old Japanese copy of an Eko violin bass. I could also bring an Epiphone EB-0 with a Dimarzio Model 1 pickup installed if anyone is curious what that sounds like. I'm working on another EB-0 8-string conversion, but I don't think it'll be together by Sunday (I'll try though!). I'll probably bring a pedalboard full of fun toys as well, if anyone's into that sort of thing.

I'm not 100% I can make it (have 3 small kids at home and a wife with a very irregular and unpredictable work schedule), but I'm crossing my fingers!

I'm sorry to say, it looks like I won't be meeting you folks just yet. I'm sure to regret it, but decisions had to be made. I truly hope to make it to one of these some time. Thanks for making me feel welcome though.

Thanks for the fun! It was a good time, got to hobnob and chat and play around quite a bit. Thanks to ExaltBass for bringin' in his nut files, as my nuts got filed, and thanks to hdracer for havin' us all out! Was a blast. 4 hours is way too short.

Special thanks to Rumbl for his mini-seminar! His topic is still an area I need a ton of work on.

My wife loves that Musicmaster. She couldn't take her eyes off it.

Next time I'll be sure to have an amp you can hear over the din, and make sure the wife's thumpin' on her own gear! >;]
