The two times we've done it there have been between a half dozen and a dozen people. It's a good bunch. And it's a bit of "show and tell" which is good because this town is a disaster for finding decent bass gear.

Which reminds me: I should contact Tony at Planet Bass and see if he'd like to show up.

KO

He would be a good guy to contact. I've only been to his store once, but he was super friendly. Awesome guy!

I'm still trying to decide what I want to bring... I have three basses in mind, my amp rig, maybe my Aggie DB412

If you bring the DB412, I can bring my Aguilar DB728 + DB680 all-tube power/pre rack, and we can can put them together and hear what just might be the ultimate (weight no object) bass rig.

i'll try to make the GTG too--if i don't have to work that day, i'll be there :)

also, my band is playing at O'Garas tonight--I have never been there before, but their confirmation and load-in email sounds really sketchy--is that place kind of a band vs. bar situation waiting to happen?

NO. O'gara's is a great place to place. There is parking lot right in front and an easy load in. Finding a spot in the lot is the hard part. You can just pull right in fromt of the door usually with your hazard lights on, unload quick. Then park in the lot if you can find a spot, or you can park in the bank parking light on the next block just north of the Bar.

The place has a green room with it's own rest room too, beer cooler, couch, etc...

The room is really dependant on your bands draw. If you didn't do the work to promo the show, you may end up with a light crowd. But the stage and PA and sound man are good. It sounds good in there usually.

Good luck!!!

Half of O'Gara's is a restraunt and the other half is "O'Gara's Gargage" is the bar/live music venue. There is a hallway that seprate the two.

The problem again is that you have to bring all your own fans. There really isn't a built in crowd that is just there to drink and happend to see a band. The Garage part is place to go see bands 1st, that also has a bar. I hope this makes sense. Have Fun!!!
