Missing bass

I placed an order last Saturday for a Fender American professional II fretless jazz bass that was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. It reached the city it goes to when it’s out for delivery. I noticed that afternoon when I checked the tracking number that it was delayed. Fine I thought, maybe it would come in the next day. So Thursday I checked again and nothing changed. Still showed a delay. I called Fed ex and they told me I would receive it on Friday. Friday morning gets here and still the same status. So I called again and they told me they could assure me the package was still at the Wilmington NC shipping center but didn’t understand why it was still there but wanted me to call back Saturday morning and so I did. The woman talked to me and told me that it was the shipping label and told me that she would tell them to get that package out to me today. I checked the status and called back an hour later and the guy I spoke to this time told me that the record shows my package being there but it is missing. Now keep in mind that when I called them Thursday they were going to issue an investigation into what was going on. FedEx even sent me an email saying they were doing so. So how is my package missing. I watched a YouTube video not long ago saying it’s almost impossible for employees to steal on a FedEx truck because of cameras. Luckily zzounds said they would flag the tracking number from FedEx and send me a replacement. I’ve dealt with FedEx for a while and this is the first time this has ever happened to me.

Frustrating to say the least. I've had stuff ordered where I could see it sitting there for a couple of weeks with no movement, but, it has always eventually came. I hope your luck changes quickly; your situation could easily be any of us. Just keep on them, but stay cool. :)
