Mixing Mesa and MarkBass cabs in the same rig

Fellow thumpers...

I currently own MarkBass Traveler 2x10 102P and 1x15 151P cabs, a Little Mark III, and a Mesa TT-800.

I would like to pick up another 2x10, and use the TT-800 with (2) 2x10 cabs on some gigs. I know MB and Mesa cabs are voiced differently. I like the sound of the TT with the MB cabs, but am considering picking up a Mesa 2x10 instead of another Traveler 102P. I cannot obtain a Mesa 2x10 locally to test.

Has anyone here ever used a Traveler 2x10 with any of the Mesa 2x10 in the same rig, or minimally, done a side by side? Thanks!

If you have the opportunity to try the Mesa 2x10", try to have your MB102P there for comparison and to try in combination. I've not auditioned the Mesa but I do own the MB102P and use it with a MB121HR if I need a 2nd cab. For me personally, I don't like to mix different brands of cabinet. I prefer 2 of the same kind and a head that complements them well. Sometimes a different brand head really works well. I found that I prefer my MarkBass amps thru my Aguilar cabs moreso than the Aguilar Tonehammer head I had. And my GENZLER head sounds great thru the MarkBass cabinets. Go figure.
May I ask, do you not like the 151P with the 102P?

I do like the 102/151, paired with either the TT or LMIII heads for different sounds. I'd like a (2) 2x10 setup for other options. The original plan was a second 102P stacked vertically, but I thought I'd consider a Mesa cabinet.

Both of the Mark cabs sound excellent with the TT-800 and I plan to keep the 151.

Thanks!
