If I'm honest, any dissension in the club house, with the fans and the team, hell even the mascot and anyone is fine by me with the pinstripe pretty boys.
I have no problem admitting that I hope the entire Yankees roster contracts gonorrhea.

New York fans, especially Yankee fans, will cheer you when you do well, but will turn on you so fast it will make your head swim.

Well, that's a bit harsh!
But I have no problem saying if they lost every game but one I would be happy less the fact that they won one game!
Last night, the Cards and Brewers did something that had never been done before. The game started and ended with back to back home runs.
Everything is fine in the Bronx, Stanton hit a homer in the first inning to set off a blowout of the Rays.

Nice win. Wish it was a sign of things to come but Cueto is their only pitcher. Now we get the yodgers again, eye yay yay!
Son of a biscuit. Pirates get torched at home. So much for the 162-0 season. Bummer.

You gotta admit, that is one scary lineup. Stanton and Judge can mash. Then add in Gregorius and the others (I remember when he was with Arizona, thinking they were crazy to give up on him).
I don't want to make our MLB discussion political and have to moderate it, but Paxton was standing for the anthem with his hat over his heart...even though he's Canadian...and was attacked by the overly-patriotic anyway. I'm just saying.
The Cubs and Lester needed a game liks tonight's after being shut out twice and after Lester's bad first start. I don't expect Zobrist to hit like this the whole season, but if he can swing the bat well enough to stay in the #2 spot and feed KB and Rizzo, the offense should be really good. I also enjoyed seeing Braun (who will always be Lyin' Ryan to me) get greedy on the bases and having Lester throw him out with the bounce pass.
That can happen when people treat wild animals like that. Poor bird looked confused.
There was no reason to make a political comment at all though.
