MLB 2018

If they are going to play the shift, I have no problem with him bunting. Never mind I have seen leads that big melt.
To me, there should never be any problem with bunting or any other legal tactic to get on base. One of the attractive things about baseball is that it's not supposed to be truly over until that final out is recorded. And the Twins have the nerve to say this is "bad for baseball."

Not quite black and white. After a certain point, you can tell the other team is just putting in time til the game ends - you have a 10 run lead, stop taking a big lead, and they stop throwing over, etc.

If you pile on, down the road it can bite you. But as long as the other team is fighting, you play hard. A seven run lead is nothing. And as I said, playing the shift means you are still trying.

"The shift" is arguably bad for baseball, but it's not going away until players learn to hit um where they aint again. In the mean team, I have zero issue with people bunting into the spot they abandoned. Maybe it will put an end to this insane, data-analytics shifting bs.

Bunting in the 9th inning of a no-hitter or a perfect game will get the next guy in your lineup plinked and I'm okay with that, but it's not what happened here.

If there was no chance that the Orioles would make a comeback in this game and it was wrong for them to bunt in an effort to try, then it was equally wrong for the Twins to put the shift on at that same point in the game. They can't have it both ways.

The notion that "we're going to abandon 3rd base, but it would be uncool of you to take advantage" is stupid.

The gIANTS suck in the sucking wad of sucking suck. Some dummy said "oh, we'll take 2-2 against the yodgers" .... you didn't understand that they had 2 runs (both Panik HR'S) in those games, it's what they deserve. They have done the exact opposite of what got them those 3 WS rings. High priced, used, washed up, has-beens that are WAY past their prime. I'd rather be watching a young team that is rebuilding than this geriatrics shame-a-thon.

I can already tell Gabe Kapler is going to wear me out. That guy is gonna stretch games to 4 hours at the rate he visits the mound.
I saw the game last night. He is in over his head.

Panik, 3 homers, the only 3 runs they've scored.

And @ wankees fans: Fair weathered who's basketball team is the fakers and their football team is the cowgirls. FAKE!

Real Yankee fans can be worse. They think everything is promised to them.

Yep. The ultimate frontrunning fans booed Stanton in his home debut (during a blowout win!) because he dared to have a bad game.
Stanton booed by Yankees fans after five K's
