The sides seem to be talking again. Any odds on whether pitchers and catchers report in a month or not? The sticking points seem surmountable, but then I'm also an optimist.
From what I've read, not more than 1 or 2 chances in 10.

I'd bet lots on no. But I hope your optimism comes through for all of us!The sides seem to be talking again. Any odds on whether pitchers and catchers report in a month or not? The sticking points seem surmountable, but then I'm also an optimist.
I really like the vintage showing socks.
The sides are talking again and might have made some peripheral progress. I still don't have high hopes for a timely start of spring training.
If you are going to spring training, unless you only want to see one specific team, Arizona is much better:
- two teams share each facility (each team's practice field is on one side of the game stadium, with easy access to watch all those fields
- almost every facility is within a 30-40 minute drive
Unlike Florida, the whole thing is set up for the fans.
Yeah we're Red Sox fans. JetBlue is basically a mini-Fenway, complete with its own Green Monster. Plus we live on the East Coast so it's much easier to get to Florida.
You're talking to a big Met fan from Connecticut here. But ifyou ever want a very cool trip for a baseball fan, consider it.
