Yep, when Frank McCourt, a horrible dude from Boston, bought the Dodgers, Dodger fans and local sports media hated him too as he ran the club into the ground. That said, he was basically run out of town here in L.A. and to everyone's liking. And how he treated Brian Stowe was typical of his SOP which disgusted most Dodger Fans and the media. Then, basketball legend, Magic Johnson, put together a buying group who now own the Dodgers and things are much better again.[/QUOTE]
I have to believe that Magic, Billie Jean King, and the other current owners have some concerns. All may be forgiven if they finally win the Series (to me, ‘20 really doesn’t count). But if they fail again, I think we’ll see some changes in the front office.

The Giants won yesterday with a walk of double from Thairo Estrada. Jordan Hicks has pitched well for two games so far. Yesterday the former closer pitched seven innings. Hoping he keeps this up and makes the transition to starter. His current ERA is 0.75.
On the other hand I am a little concerned about Logan Webb. He had a rough spring training but seemed to pull it all together when he pitched the season opener against the Padres. But then he struggled agains the Dodgers on Sunday he couldn't make it through the third inning and gave up 5 runs. He has a 6.52 ERA. A little concerned but still confident he will get it together. Lots of baseball left.

There's a LOT of MLB headed that way. Some of the small regional networks that carried MLB went under or closed, and the leftovers are going to PPV quickly. I expect that by next year all MLB coverage will be PPV, although much of it will be included in streaming or cable packages. Seems like MLB keeps finding ways to reduce its viewing audience.
Here in Denver the Nuggets and Avalanche have been championship contenders the last few years, and no one can see them in Denver until they get to playoffs that are carried on broadcast networks. Stan Kronke has been at war with the local networks and only airs the games on a small network (Altitude) he controls. It's bonkers to have contending teams that can't be seen my many of their home fans.

MLB owners need to be careful that, in their chase for revenue streams, they don't further lose dwindling fanbase they've been adding new game rule changes to reverse.
So did the Mariners. The Apocalypse is upon us.

So. The Marlins got their first win of the season against my Cards in a blowout. How special!
Well the Cards did give up a touchdown right off the bat. Pun intended

Yanks take the series from Toronto, Stanton looks like he's starting to heat up, although we've seen this movie before.
Back to normal for the Mariners. Unfortunately. This season is dashing my hopes in a hurry. They are only a few games back already, so they could turn it around. I sure hope they are getting the klunkers out of their system now. None of them can hit and none of them can pitch, with the rare exception of a couple rookies.
