MLB 2024

It's unfortunately been a little while now since Bryant was a good run producer. His RBI totals over the last several years are not super impressive. He tends to not play a lot of games either. And he's getting $27 million / year until 2029
Yeah, as a Cubs fan, I think KB's career could have been great. Rookie of the Year in 2015, and NL MVP in 2016 when the Cubs broke the curse. But he's been derailed by a bunch of injuries.

Nats - 8 Giants -1. :bored:

The Giants had no pitching and no hitting. Not suprised about Snell's perfomance but I am concerned about the bullpen. Giants need to start hitting with runners in scoring position, they went 0-10 yesterday. Meanwhile the Nationals ran all over the Giants stealing 4 bases including stealing home. What's up with catcher Patrick Bailey, he is not nailing baserunners like he used to.
Jung Hoo Lee is finding he bat again going two for three yesterday. He started off the season on a tear and then opposing pitchers started making adjustments and his hitting fell off. Lee then made his own adjustments and he is hitting well again. Starting to really like this guy.

I watched mostly the Mavs at Hornets NBA during the first 4 innings of the A's at Rangers series just now.

Mav's are hot and outplaying their conference going into the NBA playoffs in a week and a half.

Do I have to turn in my MLB fan card?
Na. So long as you enjoy watching the NBA it’s all good. Although I turned in my NBA fan card twenty years ago and my NFL fan card ten years ago. MLB is all I have left. I have been enjoying the Australian rugby this year though.

Go Dodgers!

I also turned in those two cards. I do however watch hockey, and both Denver U and the Avalanche won in 2022. DU is in the final 4 and plays Thursday

Never was a football fan, can commit to the weekend in front of the tube. Still follow the NBA but I seldom catch a game. I like listening to baseball on the radio while I am working around the house. That goes back to my childhood and hearing Vin Scully call the game from my neighbors back yard. The Giants have John Miller, Dave Fleming, Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow as announcers. They are a lot of fun to listen to. When I a working I will stop and pay attention if I hear the crowds making noise. Right now I am watching the game on Gameday, an online simulation of the game.
I also look forward to reading about the Giants every day.

When I was a kid, there was only minor league here. So I grew up on the paper and the radio
I enjoy the day games so I can listen at work

Still an NFL guy, though it's pretty frustrating with the Jones dynasty's stranglehold on Cowboys team management and its culture of non accountability.

MLB and NBA are top of my fan list by a wide margin, though.

I watched The Rangers and Mavs both through a lifetime of loss; It's great to see The Rangers on top, and The Mav's hopely making another run.
I'm the same. MLB and NBA are easily my favourite leagues to follow. Baseball is the undisputed #1, but I really enjoy NBA basketball too. The Raps have been a tough watch this season. They're tanking to try to keep their draft pick. Everybody from the 2019 Championship season is gone. It was really sad to see Siakam traded away this winter. Your Mavs are really on a roll right now! I think they're going to make some noise this year in the playoffs.

I've never been an NFL guy. Can't get into it. I have a soft spot for CFL football but rarely watch it. I should go to a game this summer. I'm a one-hour drive from Toronto (Argos) and Hamilton (Tiger-Cats) and I'm sure tickets are a lot cheaper than seeing the Blue Jays, Raptors, or Maple Leafs!

edit: Jays win again last night! Sorry Gaolee

The Rockies have actually spent money on free agents, but that has normally been the kiss of death for every one they've brought in. For some reason they all get hurt or their performance augers in.

The Giant squandered a good start by rookie pitcher Kyle Harrison who pitched six innings, striking out eight and allowing three runs. The offense couldn't score with men on again and the Giants left 11 men on base. They had the bases loaded with one man out in the ninth and couldn't score. :banghead:
The bullpen allowed two more runs. Giants-2 Washington 5.
This is gettin' monotonous.

Glasnow is the early season star for your nemesis Dodgers. 3-0. He’s pitched a fair amount of innings. Fingers crossed. Buehler is dominating in AAA as his rehab continues. Ohtani seems to be finding his rhythm at the plate. So far so good for the Boys in Blue. It’s a long season. They need to avoid the June Swoon and get the rotation back in order sooner rather than later. There are no acceptable excuses this season.
