Oh My Goodness...This is a side of you that I've never seen before, mr. slobake!SFGiants fan here, guess who I am rooting fore. Want another hint, I would rood for a dead dog before I would root for the dodgers. Go Yankees!
Could be a holdover from the early to mid 70's. The Giants were pretty bad and the Dodgers were doing well. If the Giants were playing the Dodgers at Candlestick there would be way more Dodgers fans that Giants fans. Was drowned out trying to cheer on my home team in San Francisco. No love lost for Dodgers fans.Oh My Goodness...This is a side of you that I've never seen before, mr. slobake!
Go (To H***), Yankees!
(jk...just having some NoCal/SoCal Fun.)
Thanks!
I can respect that.I have a grudging respect for the Dodgers teams but I still hate em!
I don't like either glitzy, big bucks team. This year's World Series is dead to me. It just needs to be over so the Mariners can be undefeated and in first again for a few months. 2025 is the year. I just know it.SFGiants fan here, guess who I am rooting fore. Want another hint, I would rood for a dead dog before I would root for the dodgers. Go Yankees!

Yeah, this frees up my TV time to watch anything but the series.Well, I guess this is the World Series America wanted. I'm sure the ratings will be better than average for this one. Entering the post season, I was really rooting for a Cleveland - Milwaukee Series. Two small market, blue collar teams. Oh well, maybe someday.
Well the Pirate are making major strides towards a championship next year by firing the director of Latin American operations, while the worst GM and manager combo in the history of the franchise remain.OK, time for the new thread for the upcoming season. Congratulations to Texas and all that. But that was a while ago. I'm slacking.
I'm optimistic about the Mariners' pitching staff, provided they don't get wiped out by injuries or bone headed GM moves. So far, the bone headed GM moves haven't been so bone headed these days. Some worked out, some didn't. What they really need is to make contact when they are up to bat. A couple of high average bats would make the Mariners formidable. They have JP Crawford back, and he's really rounding into a just under the radar beast. Julio will be back indefinitely, and I don't see him doing much besides get even better with time, injury notwithstanding. The rest of the lineup isn't perfect, but it has promise.
On to the hot stove league.
He certainly energized much of the existing fanbase and brought in many new fans to baseball. He was great in the best tradition of baseball in that he was one of those players that was just fun to watch play; people circled their calendars (as one did back then before iWatches and uPhones) for the games he was scheduled to start.RIP Fernando. A true one-of-a-kind legend. Nobody had a delivery like him.
Not to mention the legion of FA's beating down the doors to enter into incentive-based contracts knowing there's a great chance that management will weasel out of those incentives by honoring the letter but never the spirit of the contract to save a few cents. Amen bro. You’re preaching to the choir. Face it MLB with no salary cap is a joke. If the Dodgers can allocate a billion dollars on two pitchers, what chance does a team whose owner would rather give up a leg than fielding a whole team for more than $65 million a year. If there any doubt why the Dodgers and Yankees are in the World Series, just look at their payroll. Not to mention the legion of FA's beating down the doors to enter into incentive-based contracts knowing there's a great chance that management will weasel out of those incentives by honoring the letter but never the spirit of the contract to save a few cents.
