MLB 2024

What has amazed us Dodger fans is Dodger pitching has pitched the last 33 consecutive innings of PS without allowing a single run and has tied a MLB PS record. No one was expecting this. They shutout the Mets 9 to 0 on game one. Of course this probably won't continue as today's game is a Bullpen day and it only takes one pitcher to be off their game.

It has been sort of shocking. Sure hope they can keep it up. Flaherty was solid last night following a nice outing from Yamamoto. Still have a lot of ball to play. But I’m feeling much better about things today.

ALCS kicks off tonight! Guardians @ Yankees. Who ya got???

I think I like Cleveland to pull off an upset and advance to the World Series. They have a very solid pitching staff. A great bullpen and probably the best closer in the league. Their ‘pen has not been stellar thus far in the postseason, but they’ve made it this far despite that. I’m hoping those early WC and ALDS stumbles were a good learning experience for those pitchers. (Or maybe their arms are just out of gas, who knows! 😆)

The Yankees have a formidable lineup for sure, but Judge is a bit of a no-show in October. Unless he figures something out and the Yankees’ hitters all start bashing homers, their postseason could be over shortly.

Too soon to think on it for me.

I gotta pull for Cleveland at this point. They been waiting for 76 years.

CBS reported Rizzo will start for NY tonight. Other articles posted earlier say Jon Berti starts at 1st base.

We'll see.

(I'm really more anxious to see the Men's College Basketball season begin)
Was nice to see Rizzo in the lineup. He's pretty high on the list of former Cubs I like to see do well and he started off with a hit then drew a walk (which he was always good at doing).
