MLB 2025

Have you been to the stadium brewery? I enjoy a Blue Moon occasionally. I always like to hear about the fan experience in any baseball park, major or minor.
Nope. I’m an L.A. guy. Going to a game in Denver is a bucket list thing.

Sadly, I don’t drink beer at the ravine any more. Can’t afford it. Back in the day we could go to the game, sit in the top deck, and drink our fill on a $20.00 bill. Been a regular since the seventies.

Yeah I got that wrong. Thought you went to a Rockies game.

Holy heck Sonny Gray just put up one hell of a line in the Cardinals 5-0 win over Cleveland:

A Maddux! Not very common these days.

Last night the Jays thumped the Red Sox at Fenway. 9-0. The Jays hitters combined for 16 hits, 7 walks, and only 2 punch outs. Lots of great at bats. Berrios was dealing too. 7 IP and 8 strikeouts with only 1 walk allowed. Hope they win another one today.

Still, I am thinking the A's will get better attendance than they were getting in Olkland's run down stadium. But then on to Vegas in a shinny brand new stadium.
The Sac Stadium is nice as minor league parks go. It’s a fun place to take in a game. They are getting good attendance, all things considered.

Dodgers will play there next year. We’ll be all over trying to get tickets.

Get your tickets earlier in the season next year. You do NOT want to be sitting in the sun with Sacramento's 100+ heat (emphasis on +). As far as this season is concerned there is no chance our family will go to an A's home game. The heat is just too unreasonable for us until maaaaybe late September.

Wussy? Yup. I grew up there. I did my time.

I fully understand. I lived there ‘83 to ‘86. And part time from ‘15 to ‘18. I’ve been in Bako since ‘86. Crazy? Yup.

The Jays completed a four-game sweep of the Yanks last night. Woohoo! These wins allowed them to overtake NY in the AL East standings. It's only a one game lead over NY and Tampa, but still. First place! They have not been in first place in the division this late into the season in years.

Something is definitely different about the Jays lately. They're scoring more runs, hitting for power, and never really feel like they can't come back if they get down. They're putting up stubborn and tenacious at-bats up and down the lineup. It's a stark difference from the last couple years and even earlier this season. I really hope they can keep up this level of play.
