MLB 2025

How did Schneider not win AL Manager of the year! That's ridiculous. Worst to first in AL east and two outs away from beating the mighty dodgers in the WS.
Good question.

I suspect two reasons. First, the voting took place after the regular season but before the playoffs. So, the Jays' excellent playoff run didn't factor in

Second, I think the narrative for this award favors small market, non-super star teams... i.e. which manager got "the most from the least". Pat Murphy and the Brewers check those boxes.

Ohtani and Judge repeat as NL and AL MVPs. Ohtani got all the first place votes. Not exactly a shocker 🥱 Judge got more first place votes than Raleigh (17 to 13). They were 1st/2nd on every ballot, which makes sense given the great seasons they each had. I thought that might be a bit tighter but 4 first place votes was all the difference Judge needed. Bummer for Cal.

Cal should have been MVP. That's all there is to say about it.
