No... YOU watch hockey. No, we watch hockey
Basketball for me.No, we watch hockey
So the Dodgers pulled it off. They were outplayed and out managed for most of the series. Were it not for Yamamoto, they would have lost. Frankly, I think they got lucky. But I’ll take it. That’s baseball.
Yep, you nailed it. Roberts managed it well making adjustments after the Dodgers offense went cold. Of course, it is baseball and a little luck too always helps in every game you play.Another crazy bottom-of-the-ninth.
I would say the Dodgers got out played, but not out managed. Roberts played the 11th perfectly after Guerrero doubled. Barger wasn't getting anything even close, as they were fine with him on first and Kirk coming up. The perfect double play storm. And so it came to be.
Roberts nursed a team that went cold at the worst possible time, with a highly suspect bullpen, to a highly unlikely World Series win.
What a great WS. Going into the eighth I was sure it was going to be the Jays.
Now I'm bummed as there's no baseball for 3 months.
You a Gators fan ? Hoops start this week !And now we wait for Spring...
The Jays have become a first class team with a lot of talent. They were much more competitive than the Yankees vs the Dodgers in last year's 2024 WS where the the Dodgers won in five games. That said, this year's WS was most exciting to watch and as a Dodger fan I was happy with the win. That was a tough loss
It was a very exciting back-and-forth Game #7. I was on the edge of my seat all night. I didn't get the ending I wanted, but this type of game, regardless of which team won, was better than a blow out. (Although I would have gladly accepted a blow out Blue Jays win... it just wouldn't have been very compelling television...)
The Jays left a lot of runners on the bases. If only they could have scored a few more insurance runs earlier on. What if the relief pitchers had been just a biiiiiiit sharper? Unfortunately, there is a lot of slugging power up and down the Dodgers' lineup, and if you hang a breaking ball, they're probably going to put it in the seats
It was an incredible run for this Blue Jays team. It's a really fun group of players to cheer for. They won the division, won the ALCS, and then got so close to winning the World Series. I'm really happy that Bo was able to get back and play in the WS, even if he was hobbled. He still performed well at the plate. That 3-run homer was massive. I hope the Jays are able to re-sign him and keep Bo and Vlad together. Bo might get better offers elsewhere in free agency though. We'll see. The Jays have some important questions to answer over the winter. I hope the team can come back in 2026 playing as well as they did for most of 2025. I'm not sure how likely that is, 2025 will be hard to repeat/follow-up, but we can hope.
The Dodgers feel inevitable. They have a great team and they obviously have the means to keep building. I assume they will continue to spend, luxury taxes and all, even on questionable players (e.g. Michael Conforto in 2025) and it probably won't hurt them as long as they can continue to spend more. I wonder if there is a limit we will ever see them hit..?You've gotta figure they're the favourite to win the WS again in 2026.
There is baseball, and there are sports you watch while you are waiting for the next baseball game/season.No... YOU watch hockey.![]()
At least as an OU alum and big time fan I have football and softball which pretty much fill in until baseball starts again. This season the women's basketball team even looks like they might be pretty good. There is baseball, and there are sports you watch while you are waiting for the next baseball game/season.
True for some. For me-and family-it's hockey first, baseball second, football third, basketball 24th.There is baseball, and there are sports you watch while you are waiting for the next baseball game/season.
What? Pitchers and catchers report in February. Plus there's the hot stove league. Cheer up!No sports until March, this sucks!
Yeah. When all the major level leagues started hopping in bed with the gambling companies...I have a feeling we have only seen the tip of the iceberg of gambling problems. Especially with the ability to bet throughout the game, even on things like a single pitch, there are so many ways players can get involved and not "feel guilty".
The problem is the leagues and networks are so entwined with the gambling companies, there is no way it is going away.
Unfortunately...
