Modded Basses

This one started life out as a Geddy Lee Jazz. Nothing too drastic except for the paint and SJB-1 pickups. Wanted to do a simple competition stripe, but the guy who helped me paint it wanted to make it even more unique. Mission accomplished.

A lot of people have posted cool stuff, but I especially love this one.

Thanks for the compliments on the Geddy. Pics definitely dont do it justice. The shade of white is actually Cadillac OEM pearl white with a black pearl competition stripe. Pickguard is painted to match the white. It really sparkles.

could you post the pic again? I can't view it because the picture after it is big and covers yours when I view as a slideshow

Here ya go!

This is my latest that I just started inspired by 70's era Santana bassist Doug Rauch:
A Fender California series P/J.
Curtis Novak Mudbucker, Charlie Christian P, and Jazz.
Tone Styler tone control.
5 position switch plus push/pull pot to access all possible Pu combinations.
Fender high mass bridge
New pick guard in black.

This is a Squier Affinity P bass with alder
body and an Original Fender 62 pickup.

It has a 22 fret neck with a 9 inch radius.
It is thinner than any Ibanez neck and
just as thin as any Ibanez neck. It is
very playable.

The pickup is moved 5/8 inch south.
(5/8" closer to bridge)

That makes it more punchy with a fast
playable neck. It still pumps out a lot of
bass when plucked closer to neck. It
seems to have more flexibility.

This is a 2000 MIM P bass body with Duncan SP3
Quarter Pounder pup. It has a one piece maple
Squier neck. The fret board and neck are one
piece. It is the same width as a P bass neck,
but thinner.

I have ROTO 77LD flats on this bass and It
reeks VINTAGE P BASS SOUND
