Never miss a chance to post thisn'
IMG_3196_2.jpg

Started life as an affinity P, new pickups, electronics, pickguard, and of course the paint job. All mods ran around $400.

i got a few :)
started out as a black passive P/JJ Bently series10

ended up as a white p/HB/preamped unit using all jackson parts.

so I used the neck on another one of my Charvels:

.
Modded to me means something radical

This one started life out as a Geddy Lee Jazz. Nothing too drastic except for the paint and SJB-1 pickups. Wanted to do a simple competition stripe, but the guy who helped me paint it wanted to make it even more unique. Mission accomplished.

This is more of a parts bass but who cares. It has a ltd vintage four neck, usacg jazz body with a mim jazz pup and a affinity p pup. I need to change pickups. Wired v/v/t/t three way toggle, warmoth guard and badass 2 bridge

In the process of Modding this Ibanez Soundgear
Before: (hate the body shapes of most Ibanez basses)

After: Completely stripped the finish off, trimmed down the top and bottom horns, primed, and painted (one coat). I'm pretty excited about how it is turning out!

Damn I wish I had before and after pics of mine..Used to be an MTD kingston 4 stringer with the sunburst, I sanded the whole thing down, now its just the ash back with a spalted myrtle top and a newly shaped headstock. Redid the electronics so its vol/vol/distortion knobs with a push/pull for series/parallel..Ill never be able to sell it and wouldnt want to. Its a whole new bass :)

One of the most-modded basses today is the Squier Bronco (it's right up there with the Epi EB-0).

Here's my Bronco, equipped with a TV Jones pickup from a Gretsch 2202 bass, Labelle Deep Talkin' Flats, a racing stripe done with chrome automotive striping tape, and a V8 emblem from Autozone. I may add black & white dice knobs just to top it off.

If I ever get a really wild hair, I'll paint the headstock black. I really like matching headstocks.

Here is my "JazzCaster Bass"
The body and neck plate are from a SX. The neck is form a 84 MIJ Squier Bullet Bass 1.
The pickups are USA Fender noisless. Bad A$$ II bridge. White pearl pickguard and Nylon Wounds....
It is bass haeven for me.
Here it is "done"

In these pics it still has SX pickups.
