cool & thanks for sharing !!!
I have a Boss SD1 which is basically TS808 with asymmetric clipping stage. As TS9 is basically hotter TS808, now I really tempted to try that mod on my SD1.
I modded mine with a Monte Allums SD808 kick and it sound skiller on bass. i don't hear any low end loss with it, but it only uses a .1uf cap which means that if you wanted you could just get the kick and then put a 1uf cap from radio shack in place of the .1uf.
the kit gives you a hand full of caps, a could resistors a few diodes and a new chip. the only thing you don't get is a SD-1 bypass bleed fix, which they sell separately .
I stumbled across a robert keeley modded ts-9 the other day, boy does this thing rock. From what I can tell no loss of low end what so ever. I was running mine through my DHA VT-1 and it's just a killer tone, the closest i've got to a BRMC sound. I can't recommend both of these pedals highly enough. Easily my two favourite pedals on my board!
