will do.i had it voiced higher coz ill be switching to e-c sets hope it will work out fine.might try nickels too to tame the highs.thanks for the assessment and the tip man..more please..

No problem...it sounds like you have the treble boosted pretty considerably, and once you switch to E-C tuning that will be especially unnecessary...

It looks like your bass has a pretty extensive onboard EQ, so try returning it to a flat setting and then adjusting the mids to taste instead

yup 2 onboard pre's seriesed..used to have nylon tapes as well.just have to get used to ss strings and tame the highs i guess..

I don't have a bass with J pickups, but if you are looking to upgrade a bass to get that modern J sound, EMG's are pretty well your best bet.

There's one in the classifieds that I can personally vouch for. Single coils housed in a dual soapbar configuration. I'd buy it back but I'm on an "austerity" budget.
