Hey this is my first post on here but i thought i should cause it's a modulus mob after all so yea. Here is my 1997 Modulus i got for my 16th birthday, best present ever i would say. It has original lane poors and I have a BadAss bridge ll ready to go on it too but i just have to get some string slots filed out.

Looks awesome! I got my FU 13' Modulus 2 months before my 14th birthday! #luckiest teenage ever!!!
On that note, I finally lucked out as well. Just picked up this funk for $1000, amazing deal. I couldn't be happier about it as I've been so close on a lot of sales for one of these lately. With all the money I saved, I have a complete makeover planned so stay tuned!

so did anyone here pick up the Q5 at the nashville gc? was listed two days ago and was immediately snapped up.
been looking for a coco-top for awhile and three go on sale within a week. unfortunately of those three for sale:
no. 1 ended up having a bad neck.
no. 2 is a mystery coz the tb ad hasn't had a status update pretty much since the initial post.
no. 3 sold quick-style.
might just end up having a custom bass made based on a q5 unless a manufacturer revives the modulus brand or makes it their own.
i vote for geoff gould to make a limited line of quantums. he can nickname them the "GG-Q".

Sounds good to me. Or, you can find a neck you like and have any builder make a cocobolo body for you. I haven't found that Modulus bodies are all that spectacular. In fact, I had my Q6 neck on solid mahogany body that I built with some help from a local luthier and I thought it sounded a lot better than the factory body. There's a Q5 that's been posted in this thread where Jack Read built a body for it that also looks really nice.

Not that they suck, just that the workmanship is not on par with similarly-priced basses from other manufacturers.
