Modulus Mob

I did a pickup gig a while back and for some reason the drummer brought along an electric guitar (?!?!) ...I dunno, maybe he and the guitarist had discussed it beforehand, but it was basically there as a backup/spare, spent the night on a stand never getting used ...but it was a gorgeous mid-1980s Modulus Graphite Blacknife, a 3-pickup Strat-stype guitar with a carbon neckthru. Just stunning.
Will get it next Wednesday. I will only have it for a month or so. The serial number is 1 lower than my guitarists Genesis I. He will be buying it from me as soon as he has the money. Well, I will at least have it for a month to noodle around with. I have played his and it is an amazing guitar. This one is Alder body with Alder neck. My guitarist's is White Cedar with Alder neck. Sound will be a bit different, but it still has the plastic on the pick guard.

From what I hear the website is getting a makeover and that cab is so new its not listed yet except for a couple of vids that I have done.

Cleaned up the fretboard today with WD40...looks pretty good. Put some new strings on it and it is ready.....to go back in the case!! haha

Off topic question, does anyone know anything about Modulus guitars? What is the difference between G1 and G2 guitars?
I've been meaning to post some pics in this thread for a long time. I was taking some pics of all my basses today and I singled out the Modulus for this thread. It's a 1992 that I have owned since ~1994. The electronics have been changed a few times from EMG P-J/BT to EMG DC/DC/BQC to Lane Poor Wide Aperture(x2)/LP pre/Passive tone.
The color is red over blue so in flourescent light it looks purple.

Total gas.. got a 1998 genesis 5 string fretless that I would love to trade for a q5. My fretless has 19mm spacing so I believe that maes it a wide. I much prefer the 17mm spacing
I don't know. I do know that the W necks were 19mm and my fretless is wider than my fretted. I just prefer the tighter spacing, which I thought was 17mm
