Just got a call from my luthier, Larry Brooks, about my Modulus Bassstar. He has it working again. The electronics are all sorted out. I go tomorrow to pick it up and see exactly what he found. Unfortunately that means one more show on my Fender, but I get to rip the Mod this weekend in Green Bay!

You know after getting my Bassstar back and after playing it for the last 6 years, I finally realized something. My bass neck has very little taper. From nut to heal, there is only a very small difference in size. I think this is what I love so much about my bass. Maybe that is why I like my other Modulus' less..

Here is my 1990 Q5. It doesn't have fancy quilt or flames but man, it sounds good!

I bought this bass from my old instructor, Steve Buslowe, about 10 years ago and it has been my go to bass ever since. Apparently it was on tour with Meatloaf for a long time and so it was professionally cared for since day one. I think it's even in some of his videos.

The only thing I did to it was add an EMG BQC system but other than that, it stock. This is a non-truss rod model and the neck is amazing. For me, this is the one. It's my bass soul mate and I will never sell it.

Can I get a Mob member number? :D

nice Mod!
